From August 10th to 24th, 2026, the "Free Medical Health Days" project was successfully implemented. Generous donations (special thanks to Dr. Peter May) and a highly qualified team of Sudanese doctors from various specialties enabled nearly 10,000 people to receive easy and free access to medical diagnosis and treatment. The local organization was carried out responsibly and exemplarily by our cooperation partner, the Sudanese Volunteer Organization. All participants, a total of 37 people, including 8 Sudanese doctors, worked voluntarily and without pay, sometimes late into the night. Our chairman, Mahmoud Difiallah, even worked there himself during his vacation, contributing his full commitment. We were able to provide medications worth €40,000, which were distributed free of charge. The range of illnesses was diverse and extensive, from malaria and other infectious diseases to diabetes and gynecological conditions. Childhood illnesses, injuries, and much more were treated by doctors from various specialties. We are very pleased that we were able to carry out this project so successfully and in close cooperation with many local partners (including authorities in Chad, camp administrators, the IRC, etc.). The doctors and the SVO also developed suggestions for structural improvements to medical care that could be helpful. We hope to continue this work to help the people in the region and look forward to further support.
